I am thinking that I am the worst bloger ever, which fits my mood AND my circumstances right now - it's my third day home from work with what started as a head cold and swooped quickly to near-pneumonia.
Dr. gave me a new inhaler. I guess that was his way of adding to the things I can't do very well...Blog...breathe...
So, yes, I am having my own pity party, but I will get over it. I haven't really been absent from the blogosphere, I have just been on the other side. I have found so many that are heartfelt and interesting and enjoyable. Is every amazing couple in America still falling in love AFTER the wedding and renovating a house? Seriously.
Nice segue into one of my favorite subjects (and I have wanted to use the work "segue" for so long! Did it sound natural? It needs to sound natural.) David, my son and his lovely wife Lauren, she who gives all good connotations to the weird suffix, "in-law." She's family for sure and is on a mission. They are fixing up (these days called renovating) the first house that my Husbandof manyyears and I owned. They are excited but tired, but after much work painting (with great help from Lauren's sister Gina, who is also more of our family) they are going to start moving this weekend.
I love this little house - both of our children, David and the lovely Rebecca, were born when we lived there. It was small and cozy and if we had anyone over for dinner in the little eat-in kitchen and needed to open the refrigerator, someone had to stand up. That rather than etiquette dictated the seating order. So it is a little gratifying to see David move in there 27 years after he (and we) moved out!
I will update the pictures as the work progresses. They are moving in this weekend and will finish working on the kitchen while living there. And I will (try) to consistently update their progress!
